Using Feng Shui and Art To Inspire Yourself

Posted By Nicole on December 7, 2009

Art can be a powerful tool to motivate, relax, and inspire you. It can affect your subconscious and send messages to you through the day and night. It is a powerful tool for your psyche.  Using Feng Shui principles to place the art and help identify the best art to empower you, is actually quite simple. First, the most meaningful places to put art that will make the most impact on you, is the bedroom and in your entry way to your home. The first thing you wake up to can set the tone for the day as can the last thing you see before you head out the door. When you come home at night after a hard day, seeing that piece of artwork as you walk in can help relax and reboost you for the evening. As you try to fall to sleep the art you hang in your room can either help or hender your sleep patterns. Surround yourself with artwork that makes you happy.

Choose artwork that is positive, colorful, and makes you feel good. Looking at artwork you adore can Avoid artwork that is dark, depressing, or depicts poverty, loneliness or death. Artwork that brings an element of nature such as animals or seascapes can be very calming. It is like looking out a window. In the bedroom, choose artwork that depicts love, abundance, and is softly colorful. It is the perfect place for art to inspire you in what you wish for in love, success, creativity, and health. Avoid jagged, angular, or geometric patterns. This could disrupt your sleep, especially when hanging above your bed.

Above all, any work of art that motivates you to start your day with a smile is worth it’s weight in gold!
